This game was lots of fun. The shipping came on time. I was happy overall.

I actually only got this game because it included Kaboom!, and old arcade game that my family enjoyed back in the Atari era… Much to my disappointment, however, there are no options to just play Kaboom (or for that matter, any of the other games) by itself, the player must first earn enough points on some other useless games before Kaboom is “unlocked” for that player to be able to play it.

Got this game yesterday and it looked promising.

Had 3 friends over to play and let me say, I was a bit embarrassed by this game. While this is no means a complete review, I can tell you from my initial experience with it, I don’t know how much I’ll be returning to the game. The controls were terrible for most of the mini-games we tried. The Skee-ball was almost impossible to control and more often than not we ended up not scoring points at all because the ball would barely go up the alley. Other games were also hard to control and the instructions on how the games are played were not helpful. There are annoying voice overs that I wish you could turn off (and maybe you can in a setting, I didn’t look). There is a lot of content in the game and at $30, it’s not bad so that is the reason I didn’t give it a one star rating. However, if all the games were as bad and hard to control as the ones I played so far, I don’t see myself returning to this game much more again. I was thinking maybe I should have played a bit more to review this game, but my initial impression did NOT make me (or my friends) want to stick around for very long with it. I only wish I had rented it rather than spending about $30 on it. At least maybe I can save a few others who are on the fence about this game from making the mistake I did.

As an aside, I know it gets a bad rep by “hardcore gamers” but stick with Carnival Games for Wii if you want to see a much better version of a game similar to this.

This game is awesome! Admittedly there are some crappy games *cough SMOOTHIE MOVES cough* BUT, don’t let that push you away. Seriously, I played this game for a good month and I survived by playing Alley Ball, Rocket Knockdown (even though it went by a different name when my lead and I were testing), Kaboom (my highest score was 40,000 and I quit cause I got bored haha), and MEGAMANIA!!!!!! Seriously, Megamania is THE BEST GAME ON THIS GAME!!!! Also, the prize store is fun for everyone! Nevermind that it takes freaking forever to unlock everything, but come on, some of those pictures are incredibly funny (they used to have what they were, but they decided it would be too time consuming to translate them). And the very best reason is that you can see my name under QA “Super” Tester. I mean really, how many testers get an official credit as that?! No one! So yeah, Arcade Zone RULES!
