Green-light Received for ‘the Road Avenger’ Novel

Based on the 1985 Data-East laserdisc feature “Road Blaster,” G-Mode of Japan has given a green-light to MMP Publishing’s “The Road Avenger” novel, to be released in 2009.
Written by Mary Margaret Park (author and poet) and co-produced by Sekrett Scilensce (composer and producer), “The Road Avenger” is the story of Blake Sanders, a man whose destiny is forever changed when a gang known as S.C.U.M. (Secret Criminal Underground Movement) slay his wife.
Methodically promoting anarchy and the breakdown of society, S.C.U.M. seeks to hold the world hostage, devouring one city at a time.
Before the reader’s eyes are the politicians and behind the lies, there’s the S.C.U.M. — Blindly avenging a love once known, “The Road Avenger” must decide what is right — In spite of his wishes to remain an honorable member of humanity, Blake treads the fine lines between virtue and dishonor.
“The original concept is ‘Mad Max’ like,” author Mary Margaret Park explained, “So we’ve decided to make ‘The Road Avenger’ a psychological action drama, which will end up like a cross between ‘Mad Max,’ ‘Ronin,’ and Steven Soderbergh’s ‘Traffic.’ Though we are expanding on a simple plotline, we are straying far from the typical Hollywood attitudes that engulf many fine stories.”
Licensors in Tokyo were pleased and gave the project a thumbs-up — A total of four chapters were showcased in a mock 6×9 binding, emulating the look and feel of the finished product.
Fans of “Road Blaster” (a.k.a. “Road Avenger” in the U.S.A.) can visit http://www.theroadavenger.com to obtain more details about the novelization and are encouraged to join the demo club.

Cake Shop – Your Tasty Managing Career

EleFun Games offer you a new time-management game that stands in line with the recent tendencies in the casual game industry. You are the manager of a confectionery where you serve multi-layered cakes and beverages to demanding customers. The game play largely resembles Burger Shop, but it has some features distinguishing it from others.
A career as a cafe manager? That’s a piece of cake!
That’s how Emily, a young college graduate, thought when she received a call from Gail Davis, the owner of a newly opened confectionery. She didn’t hesitate a bit before accepting the offer – and here is the first day of work!
As you already understood, nothing new for the story here. The game play is basically typical for all time-management games, though it has some new twists. At first you have just a show-case with three types of loafs and three types of jam for your cakes and a trash bin. Watch carefully for your customers’ orders and work fast, creating three-layer cakes for them – and soon you’ll be able to acquire some new fittings for your cafe.
Here we come to the main attractions of the game, besides the addictive game play (and it is addictive, believe me). After each level you can see how a number of your game parameters have changed. First, it is the level of your Cafe – measured in stars and determining the efficiency of your work. It depends on the fittings you have purchased, and, actually, on the diversity of your menu. And you can buy upgrades based on two other parameters – your Cash and Mastery. With cash everything is simple – it’s just the money you have earned during the time-management levels. Mastery is something you can raise by earning tips. The amount of your tips depends on your level of service, that is on how long you make your customers wait. The more tips – the higher your Mastery is. And if you comply with the minimum Cash and Mastery requirements – you are welcome to purchase new fittings for your Cafe, like coffee machine, ice-cream, drinks, additional tables etc. All of those raise the rating of your enterprise and attract more customers.
Tip: prepare fresh portions of drink, cotton candy etc. immediately after serving the previous ones, replacing them in the machines. This significantly saves your time.
But these are not the only things to spend your money on. While Emily adores her new job, she starts missing her home very soon, and Gail suggests that she builds a home for herself there. The construction raises Emily’s mood, and while she is smiling your customers become more patient. But in order to proceed with it you will also need money – and sometimes it is even more important than the upgrades.
But enough words. It’s time to play and have fun with your Cake Shop!

The age old game of bowling is the sort of sport that the whole family can get involved in and it provides a good source of entertainment and a whole lot of fun. For many people, going to the bowling alleys in Singapore means fun that never gets old, and they can go there several times a week with no problems at all.
This is because there are no age limits in bowling alleys, especially those in Singapore, which means that even small kids can have the opportunity to participate in this wholesome game. There has been no serious injuries or even any drama of any sort when it comes to bowling, it is a safe sport, an environment that is controlled and extremely secure – children can roam about freely and not worry about a thing. This is because these children are attracted to the brightly coloured balls and will normally keep to the safety of their parents.
Bowling alleys have exceptional lanes that are ideal for apprentice bowlers to use. They provide quite a few lanes that have safety features like rubber bumpers and every youngster is approximately certain to thump over a pin or two on each lane that they roll a ball down. The sphere might hit the buffer quite a few moments when it is going down but once they get the momentum of play, the kids are more than likely to start hooting with pleasure. Bowling is one of Singapore’s favourite past times and this is evident by the sheer amount of bowling alleys scattered all over the island.
From last count there were more than 70 of such bowling alleys all over the island and they were located mainly in many neighbourhood towns in Singapore. For the most past, these bowling alleys are extremely modern and have been constantly upgraded to provide the best and most up to date services to bowlers. Also, bowling alleys in Singapore are a one stop solution for the serious bowler to the entire family. Not only do they provide good bowling alleys and services, they also include things like cafes and mini restaurants so that you never go hungry.
They provide snacks like hot dogs as well as chips and can even go as far as giving full meals. There are also arcade machines for those kids who find no fun in bowling and even pool tables. If you are looking for a good place to bowl, then you will not be disappointed with the choices that you have. From community clubs, shopping centres, entertainment hubs and even country clubs, there are many places where you can bowl and this all depends on your budget and how much time you are willing to spend. Bowling is a simple and effective way to while away the time and have some good, clean fun. These are some of the aspects of good bowling alleys and you will find them in spades in Singapore. The weekend is coming, where will you be bowling?
